I saw a really awesome ppc ad today and thought I would share.
Writing PPC ads is one of the most important functions of a PPC specialist and is one the highest impact areas of optimization.
In some industries, it’s really hard to stand out, especially when all your competitors have the same or a similar message.
So, when I come across a really clever PPC ad, I feel compelled to share it.
First, here is the Search Results Page (SERP)
Can you see which ad sticks out exceptionally well?
If not, it is the ad from The Home Fixers, see below.
As you can see, they have a number at the start of their headline which draws your attention, and gives you a clear expectation of what happens when you click.
In case you doubted their messaging, here is their landing page.
This is a perfect message match to the ad, and the ad is both compelling and stands out from all the other ads.
If there is one lesson to take from this, it is to get creative with your ad copy. Few advertisers take the time to experiment with strategies and patterns that the eye is drawn to, and creatively serving your messaging within it.
Here are a few ideas you can try.
3. Starting all words with the same letter.
EDIT: As my wife points out, it almost looks like this ad is an extension for the ad above it, which happens to use a rhyme to get their message across.
I would be interesting in seeing how well this ad copy works. (Maybe I will test it.)
I’m sure there are many others, and you can apply the four mental glues from your branding and slogan strategy to develop an ad that draws you in, and is consistent with your messaging.
